LAYER POURED

YESTERDAY JAN 22, AFTER LUNCH AT 2pm SPAN OF PP139A-PP140A GOT IT FIRST LAYER CONCRETE. AMOUNTED AS 60 METER CUBES BY 10 TIMES DELIVERY OF TRANSIT MIXER, WORK SMOOTHLY DONE. 10 WORKERS USED TO DELICATE THE CONCRETE INTO THE MOULD WITHOUT ANY BAD INCIDENT.

MEANWHILE, WORKERS AT SPAN PP143A-PP144A ARE NOW BINDING THE REINFORCEMENT INSIDE THE MOULD. CASTING OF ITS FIRST LAYER PLANNED ON NEXT WEEK.

ALMOST DONE A RAMP

LAST WEEK, THE LAST UNIT OF THE RAMP WAS COMPLETELY CASTED. ONLY THE 1m JOINT (APPROXIMATELY) FROM THE RAMP TO PIER P153A IS NOT FINISHED YET.

ANOTHER PARAPET ROUTE COMPLETED

39 SPANS WERE ERECTED BY LAUNCHING GIRDER NO.1, AND NOW THE PARAPET GANTRY NO.2 FOR BROAD GAUGE TYPE IS JUST AROUND THE CORNER TO POUR STICHING CONCRETE. THEN, THE ROUTE IS GOING TO BE THE THIRD.

3 SPANS OF CIS I, THE BEGINNING OF SINGLE TRACK RAIL HEADING TOWARDS THE DEPO HAS TO USE THE MANUAL CRANE IN ORDER TO CROWN THEM WITH PARAPET.

BALANCE 1 SPAN TO HAVE ITS PARAPET AT THE 6 STEEPY SPANS OF OLD LAUNCHING GIRDER NO.2 SITE.

TWO SPANS FURTHER

RECENTLY, STRESSING WORK IS STILL ON PROGRESS AT LAUNCHING GIRDER NO.2. SPAN OF P38-P39 WILL BE FULLY ERECTED AND LOWERED ON ITS SHEAR KEY PADESTAL BY THURSDAY. NEXT COMING IS TWO SPAN OF 10 SEGMENTS, THEN REACHING THE PIER OF P36.

BALANCE OF SEGMENT TO BE ERECTED IS 91nos. 69 SEGMENTS STORED AT CASTING YARD AND ANOTHER 22 IS BALANCE TO CAST. IT MEANS THE COMPLETION PERCENTAGE OF SEGMENT ERECTION IS 94%.

AFTER DEMOLITION, OUR JV PARTNER SEEMS TO BE RUSHING THEIR WORK TO COMPLETE THE PILINGS.

JUST TO INFORM THE LATEST PROGRESS AT CIS, OVERALL 85% COMPLETED. PP139A-PP140A WAS JUST DOING LITTLE PREPARATION BEFORE GETTING IT FIRST LAYER CONCRETE, PLANNED TO BE ON FRIDAY 23rd JAN 2009. NEXT IS PP140-PP141, GOT ITS STAGING SYSTEM. OUTER MOULD FOR PP143A-PP144A WAS JUST STARTED AND STILL UNDERGOING.

MEANWHILE, CIS I WAS JUST CLOSED AND THE DISMANTLING OF ITS CRIB STAGING WAS FINISHED TO LET THE PARTNER VENTURE CONSTRUCT THEIR SPAN, NEXT TO THE LATEST CASTED SPAN IN ORDER TO GIVE WAY FOR ROAD DIVERSION.

LATEST OF NANGLOI-SURAJMAL

PARAPET STICHING ALONG NANGLOI TO SURAJMAL STADIUM WAS JUST COMPLETES LAST WEEK. HENCE THE GANTRY PERHAPS TO BE DISMANTLED SOON, TO GIVE WAY FOR LAING-INDU JV TO INSTALL RAILS AND ELECTRICAL MASS.

MEANWHILE, THERE IS TWO SPANS LEFT FOR PARAPET GANTRY NO.2 TO CONSTRUCT THE ERECTION OF PARAPET. ALONG 6 ERECTED SPANS CONNECTING CIS II AND RAMP, SO FAR 4 SPANS SEEMS TO BE COMPLETED.

LEAVING ON A JET PLANE

FINISHING THE CONTRACT, 3 ENGINEERS LEAVE THE COMPANY. TWO OF THEM FLIED HOME ON 6th JAN 2009 AND THE THIRD WILL BOARD ON 11 JAN.

FINAL BIT

AFTER THE FIRST ROUTE OF NANGLOI RLY-RAJDHANI PARK, IT IS NOW SURAJMAL STADIUM-NANGLOI WILL BE THE SECOND. A FEW PARAPETS SEEMS TO BE ERECTED ON THE LAST SPAN, MEANWHILE THE STICHING PROGRESS IS UNDERGOING ON ITS PREVIOUS.

PARAPET GANTRY NO.1 PLANS TO COMPLETE THE REST WITHIN A FEW DAYS. PARAPET GANTRY NO.2 SEEMS TO BE INDUCED, IT IS NOW ERECTED THE PARAPETS ON ITS FIRST CIS SPAN OF CP133-PP134.

STEEPY SIX SPANS ON OLD LG NO.2 SITE WERE AMONG THE PLACE WHERE PARAPET IS BEING LOCATED. P147A-P148A RECEIVED ITS PARAPET NOT BY GANTRY BUT CROWNED BY CRANE, MANUALLY DUE TO THE INCLINATION.

FADES AWAY

NOTHING IS LOST OR BEING STOLEN, JUST TO MENTION THAT LAUNCHING GIRDER NO.1 OR LG NO.1 HAS BEEN DISMANTLED. TAKING 2 WEEKS, STARTS WITH THE FRONT SUPPORT AND REAR SUPPORT IS THE LAST COMPONENT BEING DELIVERED TO THE YARD. THE ONLY UNDERGOING LAUNCHING GIRDER IS LG NO.2WHICH MAY HAVE 5 SPANS MORE TO BE COMPLETED BEFORE REACHING THE HOLD ON AREA. SO FAR, THOSE 6 PIERS WILL BE CONSTRUCTED AS THE DEMOLITION WAS JUST DONE.

ANOTHER CIS SPAN CASTED

THE SECOND LIFT CONCRETE LAYER WAS POURED ON PP137A-P138A ON FRIDAY, 2nd DEC 08 AND THIS SO CALLED LAST RAJDHANI-MUNDKA SPAN IS A SINGLE TRACK SPAN CONNECTING THE MAIN LINE TO THE DEPO PASSING THROUGH THE MUNDKA STATION. LOCATED AT THE CORNER OF THE DIVERTED ROAD, SPACES WERE THE MAIN CONCERNED. CONCRETING IS DONE AT NIGHT IN ORDER TO MINIMIZE THE RISK OF ACCIDENT, ESPECIALLY TO THE PUBLIC AND MOTORIST.
