I NOTICED A PHRASE, LEARNING FROM YESTERDAY, LIVING TODAY AND THINKING FOR TOMORROW. THE TRAGIC INCIDENT (launcher owned by a local company) AT SHAKARPUR, EAST DELHI ON SUNDAY MORNING WERE BECOMING THE FRONT PAGE OF NEWSPAPER AND SPREADING EVERYWHERE THROUGH LIVE BROADCASTING. THE VICTIM RECEIVED CONDOLENCES, BUT THE IMPACT REALISES EVERY WORKER AT LAUNCHING SITE TO BE READY AND PROTECTED AGAINST ANY CIRCUMSTANCES. WHATEVER WE DO, SAFETY FIRST! ON 21st OCTOBER, 3 PERSON REPRESENTING THE INSPECTION AND TESTING ENGINEER (ITE) CAME TO LAUNCHING SITE TO TEST, IN ORDER TO MAKE SURE LAUNCHING GIRDER IS OPERATED WELL. THERE WERE 2 TEST CONDUCTED, DYNAMIC HARDNESS TEST AND ULTRA-SONIC TEST. MAIN PURPOSE OF THOSE TEST IS TO CHECK THE STEEL COMPONENT EITHER IT IS FREE FROM DEFECT OR NOT SUCH AS CRACK, AGEING DEFECT, EVENTHOUGH IF IT CONTAINS AIR SPACES OR PARTICLES THAT MIGHT REDUCE ITS STRENGTH OR HARDNESS.
